A Very Innocent Rabbit

A funny thing happened to me on the way home from work on Friday.

I was innocently scanning the stream of people I follow on twitter when I noticed that @Innocentdrinks (the makers of the lovely Innocent smoothies my son loves so much) had a new ad, so iPhones being what they are, I clicked through to take a look.

The ad, which was posted on their blog, features a cute rabbit who had no idea about smoothies. If only someone had (at least) sent him a tweet, he’d have known. All together now, ahhhhh.

The Innocent Rabbit new account showing Name = Daniel Germain

The Innocent Rabbit is called Daniel

All very well, but of course a tweeting rabbit needs an account, and thoughtfully Innocent had allowed the rabbit to make one, posting a link to the account on their blog too. The only problem is the rabbit didn’t know how to set up the account – see the image:

I noticed the mistake straight away and tweeted the rabbit…

Innocent Rabbit revised account

Ah, that's better

We had a short exchange and it was all sorted out in no time, but it made me think.

Mr Germain is a very well respected creative, he’s been with Innocent Drinks since they started, he’s not a junior put in a position of responsibility, but nevertheless he made a simple mistake with Twitter, perhaps because he wasn’t being himself, he was pretending to be a rabbit!

I wonder what we can learn from that?
